The late Congressman Elijah Cummings was honored Thursday at the U.S. Capitol, lying in state in the building’s Statuary Hall. The longtime Maryland representative, who died last week at the age of 68, will be honored with a memorial service for members of Congress, followed by another viewing for the public. Funeral services for Rep. Cummings will be held Friday in his hometown of Baltimore.  Former President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are expected to speak. Congressman Cummings is still making history even in death. He is the first Black politician to Lie In State at The Capitol.

Rest In Power Elijah Eugene Cummings and thank you for your service.
