Tyler Perry is changing the game again with the recent announcement the Miss Universe Pageant will be held at his new studio location in Atlanta, Georgia. In a star-studded gala Tyler unveiled his ground-breaking accomplishment; the first Black owned a major Hollywood studio. It’s not just the 330 acres lot that used to be U.S. Army base Fort McPherson. It is a shrine to 12 carefully selected legends that paved the way for Tyler Perry to ascend to iconic status in the world of entertainment. In fact he dedicated 12 sound stages to stars like: Sir Sidney Poitier, Halle Berry, Oprah Winfrey, Diahann Carroll, Cicely Tyson, Whoopi Goldberg and Will Smith to name a few.
