Living legend Cicely Tyson is not letting her age slow her down. The actress says she refuses to retire from acting. She believes its partly what has kept her alive. Tyson recently turned 95 years old. If you don’t know you Hollywood history Ms. Tyson was discovered by a fashion editor at Ebony magazine. She appeared on the cover of both Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
The former model turned actresses’ career spans over six decades. She is the first Black woman to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries for “Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All.” In 1997 she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
