The death of Kobe Bryant has taken the world by surprise and tributes are pouring in from his former teammates and friends across the world. Former Los Angeles Laker and NBA legend Kobe Bryant died at the age of 41. He died in a helicopter crash with 8 others while heading to a basketball tournament in Thousand Oaks California. His daughter, Gianna, who he was seen with at many NBA games was also onboard. Many celebs have taken to social media to express their condolences. Shaquille O’Neal’s son, Shareef, posted that Kobe, who he called “Unc” reached out to him this morning to check on him. Former President Barack Obama, New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady posted, we miss you already Kobe. Rapper Lil Wayne posted, we lost a King. Mark Cuban wrote, Damn. RIP Mamba. May your memory be a blessing.
Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.

My friend, a legend, husband, father, son, brother, Oscar winner and greatest Laker of all-time is gone. It’s hard to accept. Kobe was a leader of our game, a mentor to both male and female players. pic.twitter.com/NXsrXmCkkG
