What Does The $2 Trillion Coronavirus Relief Bill Mean To You

by

It is “the single biggest economic relief package in American history,” President Donald Trump on Friday signed off on a $2 trillion dollar Coronavirus Relief Bill that seeks to slow the economic repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic in the U.S. “This will deliver urgently needed relief to our nation’s families, workers and businesses,” Trump said as he signed the historic legislation. “And that’s what this is all about.” Trump’s approval came just one day after data revealed a record 3.3 million U.S. residents filed for unemployment last week due to the coronavirus’ devastation to the economy. In addition to setting aside money for struggling businesses, unemployment, hospitals and local governments, the stimulus package promises $1,200 for every single resident who makes less than $75,000 a year. Couples will receive $2,400, with an additional $500 for each child. This is not enough to keep families’ afloat through this crisis but every little bit helps.
