Dallas County Sets Record For COVID-19 Cases Since ‘ReOpen’

Friday Governor Greg Abbott made the choice to reopen parts of the state’s economy, The plan allows restaurants, movie theaters and all retail businesses to open in a reduced capacity.

In a statement earlier this afternoon Dallas County officials said they had seen 234 additional positive cases in one day, that is the largest single day increase in the county’s history. This milestone brings the 4133 cases and 111 deaths due to coronavirus in Dallas County. Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins is hopeful that the medical models will prove correct and we are nearing the peak.  He said, “Much of that will be determined by the choices each one of us makes.”
