More Than 130 Secret Service Officers Infected Or Quarantining With COVID-19

by

More than 130 Secret Service officers have been infected or quarantined due to exposure to COVID-19.  According to the Washington Post,  part of that number is linked to agents traveling to campaign rallies in the final weeks of the election.  The Secret Service would have been assigned to protect not only the President but President-elect Joe Biden and V.O-elect Kamala Harris during that time. The figure accounts for roughly ten percent of the agency’s workforce, including both those who were infected and agents in isolation after coming in close contact. People within the agency are appalled at how sick people are and it’s impacting the workforce that protects the White House. Donald Trump has not only put the White House security detail at risk but the American people as well with the lack of a national strategy to combat and crush the pandemic.
