On Friday the Barack Obama memoir ‘A Promised Land’ sold more than 890,000 copies on the first day. It’s the best-selling presidential memoir in modern history. With all of that good news, The Obamas are adding producers to their resumes. The pair have acquired the rights to the Michael Lewis book, The Fifth Risk, which will be turned into a sketch comedy series for Netflix. The 2016 book is loosely based on the chaos that happened after Trump won the election. Comedian Adam Conover will partner with the Obamas for the series. He wrote about the opportunity on Twitter, saying, “Very happy to finally be able to share this news: I’m creating a new comedy series for Netflix about the federal government. It’s called The G Word, and I can’t wait to share it with you.” There is no word yet on when the show with come out.
