A member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, Adm. Brett Giroir, said that health officials were rethinking the quarantine time period. Giroir stated that “a preponderance of evidence that a shorter quarantine complemented by a test might be able to shorten that quarantine period”. The recommended time frame is likely to be shortened to seven to ten days who then have a negative test result. Some officials have said that a lower quarantine period would likely boost compliance.
