There’s a new Guinness World Record holder for the biggest Afro. Brooklyn’s Simone Williams just earned the title, which was previously held for eight years by Aevin Dugas. Taking nine years to grow out, Williams’ natural hair measures 8.07 inches tall, 8.85 inches wide, and over 4-foot-10-inches in circumference. Learning of the news, Williams exclaimed, “My mouth dropped, then my knees! I could not believe it! I opened the email to make sure it wasn’t a mistake. I took about 10 minutes to process [it]”.
