After conducting a nationwide search, Phylicia Rashad has been appointed dean of Howard University’s reestablished college of fine arts. She will begin her duties on July 1. The Emmy-winner said she was honored and surprised by her appointment. She said she never saw herself as a Dean. In addition to being one of Howard University’s finest alumni, Rashad shares that honor with Vice President Kamala Harris.
