Astroworld Festival Victims Sue Travis Scott, Drake, Promoter

by

The lawsuits continue to rise relating to the Astroworld Festival tragedy that took place on Friday, November 5th.
According to Complex, 32 lawsuits have been filed through the Harris County District Clerk against Travis Scott, Live Nation, Cactus Jack, and the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation. Travis Scott and Drake are being sued for inciting the crowd.
One of the attorneys who filed a suit said “There will be hundreds of plaintiffs by Friday, if not thousands”.
The festival left 8 people dead and caused over 300 injuries.

Travis Scott promised therapy to Astroworld festival survivors with mental health services and updated his Instagram with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) phone number. The problem is, the number Scott posted was incorrect, and is assigned to a government agency. The number he posted was 844-950-6264, the correct number for NAMI is 800-950-6264.  The mistake was quickly noticed by social media users who began posting about the discrepancy and that Travis Scott needs to do better. According to BuzzFeed, Scott’s management was notified and the number was corrected.
