Glover best is known for his role as Roger Murtaugh in the ‘Lethal Weapon’ series and Mister in ‘The Color Purple’ but this exclusive achievement award is for his activism and advocacy for human rights. Hollywood legend Alfre Woodard will present him with the award. Alfre said Danny was, an activist before it had a name. He just say, ‘hey have you heard about this? Have you heard about that? You know who’s in jail right now in Zimbabwe? He always had his finger on the pulse. Danny has served on boards like Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. Development Program and a UNICEF ambassador as well as traveling the world to places of conflict or inequality. In June 2019 Danny Glover testified  June, before a subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee held a historic hearing on reparations for slavery—the first of its kind in over a decade.
