It will mark the first time in NFL history that two Black quarterbacks have faced off in the big game. Mahomes is one of just three Black quarterbacks to win a Super Bowl, along with Russell Wilson and Doug Williams who was the first to start and win a Super Bowl. Steve McNair, Donovan McNabb, Colin Kaepernick, and Cam Newton have also made Super Bowl appearances.
