The Will Smith and Martin Lawrence sequel opened with $56 million, the second-best opening for the franchise after 2020’s Bad Boys for Life. Bad Boys 4 is living up to the hype as the first Summer Blockbuster and has exceeding all expectations.  A much needed boost for the battered movie industry. The Garfield Movie finished second with $10 million, followed by IF in third place with $8 million. The Watchers ($7 million) and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes ($5.4 million) rounded out the top five.
