It was on the nearly every coffee table in Black household’s for decades and now after more than 50 years of circulation, Ebony magazine has been forced into involuntary bankruptcy. According to The Grio, several petitions say that Ebony Media Holdings L.L.C. is generally not paying its debts as they become due unless they are the subject of a bonafide dispute as to liability or amount. It is sad to see Black American publishing icon go out like this.
