ESPN Will Not Air National Anthem on MNF

ESPN has mad e the decision to not air the National Anthem Before Monday Night Football Games.

ESPN president Jimmy Pitaro said that ESPN will not show the national anthem on Monday Night Football. ESPN pays approximately $2 billion a year to broadcast Monday Night Football. Stephanie Druley, ESPN’s senior vice president of event and studio production, said the network showed the national anthem three times last year: following Hurricane Harvey’s devastation, the Las Vegas massacre and President Trump’s comments on the national anthem protests.

The entire controversy has focused on patriotism. How is not airing the National Anthem patriotic. That is not going to stop the protest if you attend a game you can still witness player’s excersize  their constitutional right to peacefully protest.
