Former NBA commissioner David Stern has died at the age of 77. Stern was at the helm of the NBA for three decades. According to ESPN he suffered from a brain hemorrhage three weeks ago. David Stern took over the league in 1984. His efforts ushered in a new era in the NBA making it a modern global brand. David was about the fundamentals; an extraordinary talent and paid attention to detail. During his tenure we witnessed the likes of the great Michael Jordan and superstar LeBron James.
