GM Recalls More Than 900,000 Vehicles

by

Two new safety recalls were announced by General Motors on Thursday to deal with brake issues and fire safety that will affect 900,000 vehicles worldwide. Vehicles affected include 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500s, Cadillac CT6s and GMC Sierra 1500s due to a potential software glitch that could disable a vehicle’s braking system. Also affected are 2019-2020 Chevy Silverado 1500s and GMC Sierra 1500s due to a recall on the battery’s cable ring system that may have been sealed with excessive glue, which could lead to a fire risk. GM dealers will inspect any affected vehicle and replace parts for free.  Over 814,000 vehicles in the U.S. are affected by these two recalls.
