Now that the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict has been announced, Jacob Blake’s family has spoken out. His uncle, Justin Blake, said, “There’s only one person on the jury that’s African American? Something’s wrong with the system, brother.” Other activists also spoke out. Bishop Travis Grant said, “This is a sad day in America. This is a time we just use peace and protest and civil disobedience.”
On August 23, 2020, Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back by Kenosha, Wisconsin police . He was shot in front of his children and left paralyzed from the waist down.
