Prince’s Estate Awarded $7 Million In Bootleg Music Lawsuit

The estate of music legend Prince received a win, according to TMZ, the estate won the lawsuit in which Eye Records was accused of bootlegging Prince’s music.  The default judgment awarded the estate $7 million and ordered Eye Records to take down all of Prince’s property.  Prince’s estate originally sued Eye Records in 2018 for releasing 18 Prince compilations through its site newlovesigne.com. Prince fan’s where outraged to find the music was unauthorized and that in the late singer was being disrespected for profit after his death.
