Regina King’s son Ian Alexander Jr has died at the age of 26. “Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian,” King said in a statement to PEOPLE magazine. “He was such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others, Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time, Thank you.”
Ian was the only child the actress-producer shared with her ex-husband record producer Ian Alexander Sr. PEOPLE confirmed he died by suicide and celebrated his 26th birthday on Wednesday. We are sadden by the news and send our prayers and condolences to one of our favorite Hollywood families.
