‘Roots’ Reimagined Premieres Memorial Day

With the epic success of “Underground” on WGN America, there is a new generation that should be interested and could benefit from a very important history lesson. Its an often overlooked part of American History and starts from the beginning with Alex Hailey’s  “Roots”. “Roots” will air on the History Channel  Memorial Day at 9pm and will run four nights.

The remake will allow a new audience to experience the journey of one families’ fight to survive the horrors of slavery in America.
