Twitter Becomes ‘X’ In The App Stores

by

Workers install lighting on an “X” sign atop the company headquarters, formerly known as Twitter, in downtown San Francisco, on Friday, July 28, 2023. San Francisco has launched an investigation into the sign as city officials say replacing letters or symbols on buildings, or erecting a sign on top of one, requires a permit. The switch took a few extra days to sort out because Apple had a policy that didn’t allow apps to have one-character names. The app has also changed its tagline from ‘Let’s talk’ to ‘Blaze your glory!’  The long-term goal according to Musk is to create an “everything app.”  Its not just a name change the new app is a new way to bundle services. The primary function is for unlimited interactivity with texting, audio and video and protect messages with end-to-end encryption. The platform can also tip content creators and make purchases and make payments globally in seconds.
