Victoria’s Secret recently announced they were replacing the Angels with the VS Collective. The Collective is described as an ever growing group of accomplished women who share a common passion to drive positive change. Tyra Banks, who just happened to be the first Black woman to be on the cover of GQ and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue as well as a former VS Angel is happy to see the change. Tyra the creator of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ responded, “To the new collective of badass ROLE models. I may have cracked that door open but y’all are charging through. Keep on keeping on until we all lost count of how many are breaking through behind you.”
Rihanna has completely changed the game with her Savage x FENTY. VS has had to make adjustments to appeal to an audience they previously didn’t cater to.
