Da Brat files for Bankruptcy. Sometimes you think people have these glamourous lives and then you see news like this. Da Brat whose real name is Shawntae Harris has filed for bankruptcy. Sources say she is well over $7 million dollars in debt. Most of that debt comes from a $6.4 million dollar judgement awarded to Shayla Stevens who Da Brat allegedly struck in the head with a bottle back in 2007. She also owes Sony Records some money as well.
