Jussie Smollett donating $125K to charities. Jussie Smollett, (Jamal Lyon) star of the hit Fox TV show “Empire,” is spreading holiday cheer in the form of cash to various charities.
Jussie plans to use the proceeds from his latest album, “Sum of My Music,” to hand out $125,000 to charities that mean the most to him.
Organizations like the Black Aids Institute, Flint KIDS, SKY Foundation, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, the Human Rights Campaign, Know Your Rights Camp, ACLU and the Anthony Burrell Dance School will all receive a donation from Smullett for the holidays.
