Mary J Blige to co-star in Netflix’s Umbrella Academy.  Mary J. Blige is heading back to Netflix for a new series called The Umbrella Academy. Blige will play “Cha-Cha” a time-traveling hitwoman who goes through time to confront her foes.
The Umbrella Academy is about a billionaire who creates an academy around his seven adopted children. After the passing of their father, the children have to ban together to solve their father’s death.
Blige also starred in Netflix’s Mudbound as a sharecropper’s wife, Blige said she was shocked at how fans thought she was “beautiful” without all the makeup and wigs that she normally wears.
