During a recent interview with British GQ, Dr. Dre and his business partner, Jimmy Iovine, announced their plans for opening a high school.
They will work in conjunction with USC, Laurene Powell Jobs, and XQ.
“It’s for that neighborhood and it’s going to be free.”
Dre admits that he wasn’t big on school but he came to understand the possibilities that education could bring, especially if there is a curriculum that kids can benefit from. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine say they are looking to give underrepresented students an edge.
