Mariah Carey is one of many celebrities who continue to call for justice for Breonna Taylor. Carey wore a t-shirt with Breonna’s face on the back with the famous phrase “say her name.”
Carey also shared a picture of Breonna on social media with the caption, “It’s been six months since #BreonnaTaylor, a frontline medical worker was killed by police in a ‘no-knock’ raid targeting the WRONG apartment.”
Mariah also shared a message from @wearepushblack, a black-led non-profit organization that raises black voices through sharing black history, fights for criminal justice, and voting campaigns.
“It’s been six months since #BreonnaTaylor, a frontline medical worker was killed by police in a ‘no-knock’ raid targeting the WRONG apartment, medical workers like her save lives every day – but police violence claims Black lives at nearly the same pace. Her [Breonna Taylor] killing hurts especially bad right now. Now, more than ever we have to stay connected and vigilant,” wrote Mariah.
