Netflix is putting Chadwick Boseman’s name up in the lead actor category for two films for Oscar consideration. It will be for Da 5 Bloods and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom hits Netflix on December 18th.Viola Davis who plays Ma Rainey will also be put forth for consideration. If both Chadwick and Viola make the final nomination it will be the first time since 1985’s Color Purple two black actors were nominated from the same movie. Have you seen Da 5 Bloods?
