You would think that Serena Williams would automatically want her daughter to play tennis, especially because she is an all star tennis player, but that’s not the case. Williams stated that it all has to do with the pandemic. She said “Honestly, we started because it’s a socially safe sport, and when COVID happened, it was like, we’re just in the house with a 3-year-old, what do we do? The tennis star said that her daughter, Olympia, “likes going” to her tennis lessons but that she won’t pressure her to play. Williams said that she will support her in anything she wants to do, but tennis isn’t her first choice for Olympia. Is there a sport that you really don’t want your kids to play? If your kid wants to play a specific sport but you don’t want them to, are you going to let them play anyway?
