We know about Jay Z the businessman, the hip hop star, husband to Beyonce and father to Rumi, Sir and Blue Ivy. Now he has opened up about what is most important when it comes to his children. Surprisingly, none of them include passing off the family business to them, or showing them with the things he didn’t have as a child. Instead he said what is important to him is showering his children in a loving environment.
“Feeling loved is the most important thing a child needs, you know?” He said… “Not ‘Here’s this business that I’m going to hand over to you, that I’m creating for you.’”
While leaving behind a legacy and building generational wealth are obviously important, what tops all of those things is ensuring that children feel “loved” and “supported” in whatever they choose to do. Well said Jay Z, well said…
