Rockmond Dunbar is out as a cast member of the series 9-1-1 because of the show’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. “I applied for religious and medical accommodations pursuant to the law and unfortunately was denied by my employer,” said Dunbar in a statement to Deadline. Dunbar played Michael Grant on the series for five seasons and saw his character written off of this week’s episode. The COVID mandate is starting to hit other actors like Ice Cube, who gave up $9 million for not being vaccinated.
