The 911 call has been released from the shooting on DaBaby’s property in North Carolina. According to CNN affiliate, WSOC, DaBaby was at home during the time of the incident.
The unidentified suspect was shot on a football field adjacent to DaBaby’s home. Troutman Police police confirm a second person was at the home but they have not identified the shooter.
TMZ is reporting that DaBaby was directly involved in the attack, shooting the suspect in the leg before calling 911. “I shot him in his leg,” the caller told the 911 dispatcher. “OK. And why did you do that?” the dispatcher asked. “He’s trespassing on my property,” the man replied. “(Inaudible) about my name. I don’t know what he’s here for. What he’s here to take. What he’s here to do. He’s neutralized until you guys get here.”
Troutman Police chief Josh Watson told CNN in an email, that the shooting happened outside DaBaby’s home and the investigation is ongoing.
