Megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar is doing a 180 after asking his congregation to give $300 a piece so he could purchase a private jet, he now says tithing is a scam.
In a new video, the controversial 30,000-member World Changers Church International preacher urges his congregants to throw away every book, tape, and video he’s sold them on tithing.
He cited Romans 6:14 in the Holy Bible to corroborate his claim that Christians “now live under grace and not the laws of the Old Testament.”
Dollar explains that while putting money aside is stated in the Bible, the ten percent recommended giving is a “manufactured figure.” He states if you want to give, you can but he says Christians are “under grace and not law.”
