OWN cancels Love Is over sexual allegations. I was really enjoying the show Love Is on OWN. It was based on the real relationship of creators Mara Brook Akil and Salim Akil. OWN cancelled the second season of the show when sexual allegations against Salim surfaced from a woman Amber Dixon Brenner who says she had her and Salim had a 10 year extramarital affair. The Akil’s are also creators of Being Mary Jane, Girlfriends, and the hit show Black Lighting.
