As a mother who raised a son, I sometimes wondered how I would have reacted if my son came home and announced he was GAY. Have you ever wondered how you would feel if your son grew up to be a GAY man? Would you be in shock? Would you disown him? Would you show compassion and love?
I know in the end I would love him and respect he decision to be who he is, but getting there might be a journey. Cookie Johnson had to take accept her son was a openly gay man, and getting there for her was not easy, until she says a conversation with GOD helped her come to terms with it.
