Nia Long is engaged to former NBA player Ime Udoka and that might be as far as it goes. She spoke with Essence’s Yes Girl podcast and shared her views on marriage. I don’t know that I need to say ‘I do’ to prove to you that I love you but also what does marriage really mean? That you own me now and I own you? I don’t get that part. She continued that she understands the religious aspect of marriage and knows it is every girl’s dream to have that moment but she doesn’t think she needs it to prove that she is in a partnership that is working. How have your views on marriage changed over the years? Changed from your parents view of marriage?
