Sisqo Says “Thong Song” Helped Victoria’s Secret

OMG time sure does fly.  Do you remember when Sisqo released “The Thong Song”?  Well, the song is now celebrating it’s 20 anniversary.  To celebrate, Sisqo said that once his team realized how big the song was, they approached Victoria’s secret, but the song had already blown up and sales for them had already happened, so the deal didn’t go down, but can you imagine the coins he would have made if it did?  He claims “The Thong Song” increased Victoria Secrets sales for thongs by 80%.   throwback smash Thong Song was released 20 years ago.   To celebrate, Sisqo talked about the song’s impact and on a missed opportunity to cash in even more.  Sisqo said, “Once I realized how big the song was. I was like we need to go and talk to Victoria’s Secret. But everything was moving so fast, it got away from us. By the time the song had blown up, we went to go have a meeting with Victoria’s Secret.”  He continued, “They were like, ‘As much as we love the song, and you seem like a great guy … but thong sales have already gone up 80%. They had got their bag already. But fast forward 20 years later and we laughed all the way to the bank too.'”  Can you believe Thong Song is 20 years old?
