Word on the street is that we may see one of our favorite balladeers on Empire next season. Smokey Robinson said in a recent interview that he LOVES the show and may appear on the show in the second season!
Even though we have yet to find out when the 2nd season is, we will be on pins and needles waiting to find out the premier season date is! I sure wish they would hurry up cause I’m ready for some EMPIRE!
During an inaugural season that brought record high ratings, critical acclaim, and some heated debate about how minorities are portrayed on screen,“Empire” trotted out an impressive list of cameos. Juicy J, Snoop Dogg, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, and Gladys Knight were just a few of the stars to appear. At a recent press junket for Motown the Musical, famed singer and writer Smokey Robinson casually dropped some information about a cameo during season two of “Empire.”
“I’m a total ‘Empire’ fan,” Robinson told Billboard. “I’ll probably be on this next season.”
