After being dropped from PBS, Tavis Smiley is back. Smiley is making a return by launching a new radio station in L.A. and it’s the only Black-owned and operated radio talk show in Southern California. “Talk radio for too long has been all day, all night, all white,” Smiley said. “People say they miss my voice.” Tavis is now the majority owner of KBLA in L.A.
