The backlash of Meek Mill’s lyric regarding Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crash doesn’t seem to be going away.

Vanessa Bryant has now acknowledged that she heard the lyric which Meek raps in an unreleased song featuring Lil Baby, “Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,” raps Meek. The lyric was called “disrespectful” by many who heard the line and social media went in on Meek for it.

Vanessa took to her Instagram Stories to respond to Meek writing, “Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period, I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”

Meek took to Twitter minutes after Vanessa’s post tweeting, “I’m going back savage in this sh_t … f#%k ya feelings!” In two more tweets he wrote, “Ion trust people gotta play it raw ……” and “Head taps for n#%ga tryna pull my card!” It’s unclear if Meek had seen Vanessa’s post.
