Kim Porter’s, Diddy’s ex and mother of three of his children, homegoing service was held this past weekend in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia. A video has since surfaced of Faith Evans singing ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’ at the funeral.
Evans explained to TMZ why exactly she performed that song in honor of Porter. Evans explained that Diddy used to request she sing that song to music executives when she was on Diddy’s Bad Boy label. She also performed the song at Diddy’s grandmother’s funeral back in 1994. It’s obviously one of Diddy’s favorite songs to hear Evans sing so it was only right she sing it for someone who was so near and dear to Diddy’s heart.
