Earlier this year, the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries aired on Lifetime and brought a lot of negative attention to R. Kelly in regards to being a sexual abuser not only to women but to minors. Yet more recently, Michael Avenetti turned a sex tape in to authorities in which showed R. Kelly having sex with what is said to be a 14-year old girl in which they both acknowledged the girl’s body parts as 14-year old body parts during their sexual intercourse.
Since then, a grand jury has investigated the sex tape in which two women also came forward to testify. Early Friday morning, prosecutors made the decision to charge Kelly with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse by the Cook’s County State’s Attorney.
