The popular 1970’s hit show, The Jeffersons, ran for 11 seasons from 1975-1985. Depicting a black couple that started from the bottom and worked their way to the top in result of a running a successful cleaners business, The Jeffersons was relatable to some and a dream to others. Now, twenty plus years later the show is doing a one-night reboot on ABC.
In the reboot, Jamie Foxx will play as George Jefferson and Wanda Sykes will play as Louise Jefferson. The 90-minute live special will be airing on May 22nd with Jimmy Kimmel and Norman Lear, the original show creator, as the hosts in front of a live studio audience.
