Dallas group starts petition to abolish plastic bag ordinance!

by

Officials with Justice Seekers Texas say they’ve received lots of complaints from people in Dallas upset over the new plastic bag ordinance that kicked in at the beginning of the year, so much so that they’ve started a petition in hopes of abolishing the ordinance.

Dallas Councilman Dwaine Caraway who spearheaded the ordinance says it’s working and is already helping keep some communities litter free, but for those who have to pay the 5 cents per bag at the grocery store…it’s expensive.
Justice Seekers Texas will need 20,000 signatures in order for a referendum to repeal the ordinance to be considered.
