New Dallas City Council members to be sworn in today!

It’ll be a new day in Dallas as six new council members will be sworn in and officially take office today.  The four African-American’s on the council Dwaine Caraway, Carolyn Davis, Tennell Atkins, and Vonciel Jones Hill are all leaving due to term limits after serving the city for eight years. They will be replaced by three African-Americans including Casey Thomas, Tiffinni Young, Erik Wilson who all won they race for city council.

Dwaine Caraway says that we may not have heard the last of him, he is planning a major announcement tomorrow to unveil his “next phase.” Some are saying that Caraway will challenge John Wiley Price for the Dallas County Commissioner’s seat.
