Nearly 40 years after the original miniseries “Roots” took slavery out of the history books and brought it to life on TV, it is back in a star studded update.
The new version of “Roots” features many famous faces including Lawrence Fishburne, Anika Noni Rose, Forest Whitaker, and T.I. and once again bring to life Alex Haley’s story of Africans being brought to America in the slave trade.
The new “Roots” will air in four 2 hour section that will air on the History Channel, A&E, and Lifetime beginning Memorial Day thru May 30th!
