Tika Sumpter is known for having drama in her role as Candice on “The Haves and the Have Nots”, but she’s got real life drama as her mother was arrested…for having an overdue library book!
“Make sure you turn in your library books North Carolina! My mom was just arrested for having a late fee of 10 dollars on an overdue book!” is what Sumpter Tweeted after her mother Janice Acquista who is a retired corrections officer with no criminal record was handcuffed and arrested.
As it turns out, the book had been returned on time but was never entered into the library system.
